The Story Behind the Design
The designer drew inspiration from animal bone specimens, which were covered with dense fine lines. The designer recreated the shape of the bones in 925 silver, with each chain link connected by a reinforced 'cross flower' structure, inspired by the tensile design of motorcycle chains. The surface is given an aged finish to present a gun-gray color, while the cross flower pattern in the middle was traced by Akai from his father's old pocket watch chain.
